Social media

Posted by Finasty - 6 hours ago

One thing that i notice is that each artists have a lot of social media (either doing it for fun or for commissions) and also good in communication + get in touch with a fellow artist very quick (mention also their work speed with their art) which is impressive

To some artists who are lack in communication skills and slow working time are barely get any fellow artist bcoz they are too scare to even talk and how slow they're drawing their art due to any circumstances they have

How to become better at communicating? Is there a trick to do it? Like how does a newly created account in some social medias can get a lot of fellow artist in just a few days?

Same goes for the work time for their art, how do they can make it faster?

very good question

You can try to manipulate algorithms, pay for views on other platforms, and advertise your work. You can try to rely on pure unadulterated skill to reach a larger audience. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of everything is just luck: making the right thing, at the right time, for the right people. You're asking an amateur community, a lot of the numbers here can easily get inflated quickly but numbers can also be absolutely meaningless. It took me over 20 years to get 1k followers, most those people don't use this website anymore. In that respect I have an inflated number that means absolutely nothing.

It can be really infuriating to realize AI content is making money for fake artists on platforms like Spotify but that's just the way it is. The authentic approach: persistence, planning, research, good vibes... and luck. Rooting for you!

Edit: follow & like lots of people, music, art, cartoons. The old regs are pretty liberal with the follow button, people will often reciprocate. That is a very authentic way of building up a following. Just saying...

If the problems is to don't know how to approach to artists for friendship, you can always leave a comment in their art post saying that you love their art, little by little you will creating bounds with that artists and maybe their circle of friends. Maybe isn't the fastest way, but in my opinion everything great, needs time
