With NG you can't just dump art and pray for something to become a hit. You gotta reach out to the community regularly.
Or you can just draw fanart of the mascots. That's basically a guaranteed front page if it looks good lmao

I get frontpage once for drawing GF from FnF, i need to draw a more variates of art from any original drawing i see out there, about the communities, i did sometime talk to them, but it's always the same person or should i say the 20% of my fans that's upload art
I was expecting to hear that you’d been unscouted, that’s happening to a lot of people as of recently due to increased quality restrictions.
I didn't get unscouted, my art still show up in the art portal under the approved artist
@Chdonga yeah I hate to say it but newgrounds community seems pretty obsessed with themselves and their mascots.
@Crawdad meh I wouldn't call it "obsessed". A lot of stuff gets uploaded daily and familiar names & faces are simply more eyecatching
The thing about why i rarely draw NG Mascot is
1. It's unhuman (A.K.A Robots)
2. Mostly were male (In 2024, i'll practice to draw male characters)
3. Art events are rare, usually just a yearly events

@Chdonga Yeah exactly, if youre looking for a NG following, the best way to do it is mascot art, collabs, and just interacting with other people. Half of my fans followed me just because I left a few kind comments on their art
